How It Works

Eligible Purchases: Tax-free shopping is available for in-stock jewellery, custom-made designs, and engagement rings. If your desired piece is not in stock, we can specially order it for you with advance notice.

No GST Refund Hassle: Unlike other tax-free shopping schemes, you do not need to claim back the GST later. Instead, you only pay the GST-exclusive price at the time of purchase. We handle the necessary paperwork for you.

What We RequireTo complete your tax-free purchase, please provide:

Your flight details (flight number, date, and time of departure)

A valid passport or driver’s license

Collection Process at Auckland International Airport

Your jewellery will be available for collection at the Collection Point located on the first floor, just after security at Auckland International Airport.

The person who made the purchase must be the one collecting the item.

To collect your jewellery, you will need:

Your passport or driver’s license

A collection authorisation form with a unique barcode, this will be emailed directly to you from Auckland Airport at least 24 hours before your departure.

At Orsini, the tax-free purchases are only available for jewellery over $2,000 NZD. Otherwise the Collection Point processing fee negates the savings made.

Please remember to collect your jewellery before departure, when leaving New Zealand.

• Once you have booked your flights, please email us your flight details so we can ensure your jewellery is ready for collection on the day of your departure.
• After collecting your jewellery from the Collection Point, it becomes your responsibility.
• We strongly recommend arranging travel insurance to cover your jewellery while in transit. Please consult your preferred insurance provider for more details.
• To assist with your collection, we have attached a map of the Collection Point at the airport for your convenience.
• Missed Collections will be returned to Orsini Fine Jewellery where you will be responsible for paying the tax before collection, or else we can arrange another collection if you have another flight planned.
